8/26/17 — Moira Hough’s FICUS proposal is one of 14 supported by DOE

DOE announced this week 14 new projects to be supported by its Facilities Integrating Collaborations for User Science (FICUS) program, and Saleskalab is among them. The proposal was put together by Moira Hough for sequencing of microbial DNA (by JGI)  and analysis of soil organic matter (by EMSL) from her samples from Stordalen Mire, our Arctic wetland study site near Abisko Sweden where we are investigating the effects of climate change-induced thaw on carbon cycling in permafrost wetlands.  Congratulations, Moira!
